I am an awful blogger. I admit I have several weddings back-logged but you might say personally and professionally I have been going through some huge and amazing changes. Changes which of course are time consuming and really don’t leave much time to share all the beautiful photography goodness. I am committing to my blog and giving it the love and attention it so deserves 🙂 I can’t wait to share this sweet wedding with you.
A few years ago I had the pleasure to capture Luke and Lia’s wedding. It was then I met Sashi and years later when Sashi became engaged (to Jeff) we reconnected and I was asked to be her wedding photographer. Being a part of Sashi and Jeff’s wedding was special, not just because I was familiar with some of their family. Sashi and Jeff have spent the majority of their dating relationship living apart, in different states with thousands of miles between them. I admire them for their persistence and their adoration for one another. Long distance relationships are difficult and they made a commitment together and in time became man and wife. Now it’s not really hard to see why Sashi and Jeff love one another-both are wonderfully kind people who have a mutual respect that is awesome to see.
Sashi and Jeff were married in Holland, MI at The Central Park Chapel on Lake Macatawa. This has been one of my favorite venues so far, not big or super fancy. So quaint and lovely, it reminded me of a little chapel on the shore of maybe South Carolina. The chapel was open air, so there were no windows but these horizontal shutters that opened to shed light and allow a light breeze to move through the church. Beautiful hanging baskets, sunshine and the wonderful lakeshore smell whisked through the air; it was perfection!
